Welder

APN has a job for you in the position of a welder. We are looking for both experienced welders, as well as people who would like to start working in this profession.

Are you a welder or would you like to become a welder? A welder builds a structure with steel from a technical drawing. This could be anything. You make plates and profiles to fit by means of burning and grinding. Accuracy is very important here.

What else can you expect of this job?

• Checking for availability of necessary components;
• Checking whether pre-treated components meet requirements of technical drawings in respect of their shape, dimensions, cleanliness, etc.;
• Pre-treatment and preparation of plates and profiles to fit;
• Taking appropriate measures (e.g. strengthening of welded joints) to prevent deformations during welding;
• Trimming, precise positioning and fitting components of engines and structures on board a ship or elsewhere;
• Assisting with the erector.
